Getting Back in the Paddle
Sunday was the opening of the 2015 outrigger paddling season! Outrigger Santa Cruz had its first meeting of the season to discuss our racing season. Lots in store for the new season! Unfortunately, for those of you who paddle too, I will not have the same dedication to the team as I had last year. Priority #1 = fish business. Sorry, but that’s just the way it’s going to be. Hoping to get out there at least 2 days a week, but once the new hospital opens, it’s going to be tricky.
My business is still sitting in the hands of the county of Santa Cruz. Something about the parking lot. Blech… Since it was originally 4 separate buildings, they figured 4 separate companies would be leasing space. However, now that it appears every building will be divided into 2 spaces, that equals 8 total companies. So, since there will be more businesses, that means the ratio for handicap spaces has changed or something along those lines. *Sigh*
So, that’s where we are right now. The exact same place we were a few weeks ago. We have the big koi show coming up this weekend in San Jose which will be awesome to tell people about our new business venture. If only we had a starting date… But, if you need something to do this weekend, stop on by for a free drink (non-alcoholic) and some free swag!
